Adnaan Wasey is an Emmy Award-winning executive producer with a history of championing the work of a diverse group of artists for mainstream and emerging platforms — in documentary, shorts, fiction, and interactive media.
He's worked for some of the world's most admired storytelling organizations, including PBS, The New York Times, and Disney, and his work has been honored by the Emmy Awards, Webby Awards, and others. Adnaan has operated and grown successful artists' programs with a focus on diversity and inclusion, and he is a frequent speaker about the future of media creation at venues such as SXSW, The Tribeca Film Festival, and The New York Film Festival. Adnaan is also a former journalist and editor of local, national, and international news, working for organizations such as PBS NewsHour and WNYC.
He recently completed a fellowship examining the social science of narrative impact and how television and film can serve underrepresented audiences. Adnaan is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and a winner of The Roddenberry Impact Award.
